About the Seven Days Tour

Hot springs are not just for relaxing your body after you've worked too hard.

Reset your mind to zero,

It has the power to bring you back to your true self.

"Touji", the practice of relaxing the body and mind in hot springs, is an ancient Japanese health regimen.

Kaibara Ekiken, a botanist and medical doctor from the Edo period, lived a long life.

In his book "Yojokun," written based on his own experiences, he explains that it is good to take a hot spring bath once or twice every seven days.

For the human mind and body to heal,

I believe it is also necessary to once again feel the flow of time in harmony with the natural flow.

Toji is the perfect place to let go of excess and reexamine yourself.

The best part of toji is believing in and improving the natural healing powers of your body and mind by boosting your immune system.

We think of Touji Retreat as "Touji Re-Treat."

Immerse yourself in a hot spring and reexamine and re-treat your body and mind.

In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, quick moments and meals are unavoidable.

Also, in the midst of busy times, we tend to put our own bodies and minds on the back burner.

Taking time for yourself means

It means regaining your true self and cherishing yourself.

When you return to your true self and feel fulfilled, you will be able to be kinder to the people around you.

Once you strip your body and mind naked and shed all that, you can put on something new.
That's how I feel.

In the past, hot springs were places where people would spend a long time in hot springs to heal their body and mind, stay in one place (sojourn), enjoy food and conversation, and foster relationships with the local community.

Immerse yourself in fresh, natural hot spring water and connect with your body and mind.

Food is food therapy, so listen carefully to what your body wants.

Feel the biorhythms of nature.
Learn about the lives of local people.
Reread the books you've piled up.
You can brew and drink your own locally grown tea.

In this modern age where people are expected to live to 100 years old,

It's okay to have seven days in your life to focus on your body and mind.

It could be three days, it could be ten days, or it could be any number of times.

A hot spring cure where you can face your true self, meet people, and rediscover your true self.

We hope you will feel the flow of the moment and realize that we are in harmony with nature.

Maintain your body by cooking at home

In keeping with the traditions of the ancient hot springs resorts, we encourage self-catering during the seven-day tour. Listen carefully to your own body and mind, cook and eat for yourself. Our aim is not to provide a trip, but a stay that allows you to regain a sense of human existence.

Features

Characteristics of the Seven Day Cycle

Both hot springs and people are gifts from the Earth, and these resources are limited.

We would like to continue to share the benefits of Touji with everyone through our Seven Days Tour.

In order to protect the hot springs and the environment, which are limited resources, and to value toji, which is about letting go of excess and identifying what is necessary,

We have the following sustainable tourism policies:

Considering the nature and the skin of our guests

Use hand soap, dish soap, and laundry detergent

We select products that are natural and gentle on the skin.

Do not use fabric softener.

Bring your favorites,

Please help us by bringing it back again.

We do not provide bath towels, toothbrushes, pajamas, cosmetics, etc. Please bring the items you normally use or that you find comfortable to use.

Hot springs should not be diluted with water.

We provide freshly-brewed spring water straight from the source.

We provide freshly-brewed hot spring water that flows directly from the source, which is most effective for the body. Because it is a finite resource, we do not drill new or alternative wells, but instead upcycle unused hot spring water generated by geothermal power generation and use it for bathing. We also carefully manage the hot spring temperature and strive to use the hot spring resource as efficiently as possible.

Linen and towels

Use 100% cotton

We use soft cotton linen and towels that are kind to both the environment and the skin of our guests.

Take care of your body,

We offer a wide range of natural seasonings

We have a kitchen where you can cook your own meals according to your own pace and physical condition during your stay. We offer a selection of natural seasonings that contain fewer chemical compounds and additives and are free to use (whole soy soy sauce, cane sugar, sugar beet sugar, vinegar, sun-dried salt, sun-dried salt miso, etc.).
